A destination wedding is any wedding where the engaged couple and/or a majority of their family/friends travel to attend the ceremony. A white wedding is a formal or semi-formal wedding in American, British, and Ireland, as well as Commonwealth, traditions.

A double wedding is a single ceremony where two fiancee couples meet up for two entirely separate weddings. This tends to happen when a fiancee with a sibling might plan a double wedding with that sibling.

An online wedding is a wedding ceremony that can take place on the internet or can even take place where it resembles a standard wedding when two people who wish their avatars, or role-characters, to be married.

With the couple's individual choice, a wedding can be a simple wedding ceremony to the extremely complex & elaborate wedding ceremony. Venue choice for civil wedding ceremonies can range from city halls, courthouses in judge's chambers, hotels, beaches, to a residential home.
